International Underwater Explorations

Joe Breman of International Underwater Explorations presented an integrated visualization system for hydrographic and oceanographic data for use as a dual use decision support system that can be applied to naval mission planning, alternative energy site selection, and harbor and coastal emergency response.

Bio Energy Systems of Hawaii

James Loux, one of the founders of Bio Energy Systems of Hawaii. James is a veteran of the renewable energy field, and his company has developed a unique method of using the biomass from downed trees and invasive plants to produce a good deal of electricity.

Hnu Photonics

Our presenter in February was Dan O’Connell, founder of Hnu Photonics. Dan is a seasoned inventor, who has developed a number of compelling technologies in the areas of renewable energy, optics, directed energy, and astronomy-right here on Maui.
